Amsterdam Centraal is a five-minute walk, giving direct national and international rail connections and metro line 52 south to Zuid. Trams from Dam Square run west and south across the city, and Nieuwmarkt metro station is a short walk east. Schiphol Airport is roughly 15 minutes by direct train from Centraal. The Nine Streets, Nieuwmarkt, Chinatown and the museum quarter are all within walking or short cycling distance.
