  • How can I search for an apartment?

  • What do the rental properties include?

    Our rates include all utilities, cleaning, and Wi-Fi.


    City Retreat apartments are 100% move-in ready with high-speed internet and fully equipped kitchens. We also include washer-dryers, irons, vacuums, and fresh linens and towels.


    Your unit will be deep-cleaned before your arrival in Amsterdam.

  • What are the cancellation terms?

    All bookings can be cancelled free of charge within 48 hours of confirming the booking, or at any time leading up to the month before your arrival.


    Cancellations made outside of this window are charged a cancellation fee equal to the first month’s rent.

  • When are payments due?

    No payment is needed to secure a booking. 

    Rent payments are made in monthly instalments, with the first month’s rent due 3-4 weeks before your arrival date.


    All future invoices are sent 5-7 days before the payment due date.  

  • Will I receive a tenancy agreement?

    Yes. By Dutch law, we issue 12-month lease agreements. 


    However, tenants can end the agreement early by providing one calendar month’s notice.


    Please let us know the date you intend to leave via email. 

  • Does City Retreat verify and manage its apartments?

    Yes. Our Amsterdam-based team visits every property before we list it on our site.


    Our experts pledge to:

    1. Tour the property, advise the owner on improvements, and secure the keys.
    2. Carry out a full inspection at check-in and again at check-out.
    3. Clean the apartment and equip the space with fresh linens and towels before the tenant’s arrival.
    4. Serve as a primary point of contact for any tenant issues, including repair and maintenance requests.
